A bit about me
Hi I’m Catherine. I’m an award-winning Personal Stylist, Colour Analyst and Senior Colour Tutor at the London College of Style, helping women and men feel confident in their appearance and comfortable in their own skin.
My route into styling wasn’t a conventional one. Before retraining as a stylist, I spent twenty years working in technology and innovation after studying History at Oxford University. Looking back, I’ve always been interested in people; understanding what makes us feel confident, how we present ourselves to the world and why sometimes we lose sight of who we are.
Today I combine that experience with a genuine love of helping others. I work with private clients across styling, colour analysis and personal branding, teach future colour analysts and have helped train a major UK retailer to offer colour analysis services. I live in East London with my family and two cats, love musical theatre, enjoy keeping active and will never pass a good charity shop without popping in for a look. Most of all, I believe style should help you feel more like yourself, not less.
You are in safe hands
It may sounds like a bit of a cliche, but you are very much in safe hands when you embark on a style journey with me. Many people feel quite nervous as well as excited when they book their first styling or colour session.
My approach is very much to allow my clients to tell their story their way. Most people start with a free consultation so we can get to know each other a bit and I can get a feel for which of my services will suit each individual the most.
I also work carefully and with sensitivity during my consultations. Quite often looking through our wardrobes, or focussing on our bodies and appearance can be an emotional experience.
I think of each of my clients as a huge amount of potential just waiting to be unleashed. All of us have the potential to feel, as well as look our best, and my job is to make that happen with humour, respect and joy.
You are also in safe hands as I’m an expert in my field – see my credentials below.
